Scholarships

Education has been a right in India since 2009 and in Government aided schools education until the eight grade is free of cost. However, in an overcrowded city like Mumbai, schools are overwhelmed, and a large number of children do not get admissions easily. While the quality of education in government schools is sub-par, many parents are unable to pay the fees demanded by private schools. This is where One Life Movement steps in with our Scholarship Program.

We believe that the inability of parents to pay for their child’s education should not hamper his or her academic progress. So, any child who wants access to a good private school can avail the benefits of our Scholarship Program. There are no academic requirements in the early stages of the program and the only factor that impacts whether a child will receive the scholarship or not is the ability of their parents to pay their school fees. However, we constantly encourage the beneficiaries of this program to make good academic progress and our staff takes the time to counsel and assist those who are not doing well academically. We encourage parents to pay at least half of their child’s school fees so that they have a sense of ownership in their child’s academic growth.

Our scholarship program has benefited a variety of students over the years and we continue to make an impact in the communities we work in by using this program to help bright, young minds reach their potential. Our vision is to see students of all ages avail the benefits of our scholarship program, attain a good education, and launch into a bright future.
